It's time to ditch the rebel flag once and for all

The Civil War. The War Between the States. The War of Northern Aggression. Call it what you will, but it’s over and the south LOST. The victors chose to be gracious and show mercy on the conquered. They didn't hang Jefferson Davis or Robert Lee as traitors. Not the choice I would have made, but hey no one asked me. Still, a bunch of yahoos are still fighting the war 150 years later and yearning for a failed system which would have died, war or no war. They’re still running around in the 21st century, wearing the rebel flag and claiming that they are just proud of their heritage. But in truth, they are using a symbol of oppression to express their frustration of how the world has changed. And oh how the world has changed. It's time for them to get over it. I want it to be illegal to display that flag, except in educational situations, such as museums, historic sites or re-enactments. You should not be able to fly it off the back of your pickup, as I've seen.

It’s a symbol of treason against the United States and I spit on it. I want those pathetic punks still claiming it to have to pay a price. Not likely, but I feel strongly. Arrest them all. Charge them with treason. Send them to Gitmo. I don’t care. Idiots.
